Cyanotype Process

The cyanotype process, also known as the ferricyanate (iron-prussian blue) process, employs simple chemical components and straightforward handling procedures while offering versatile applications. This fundamental printing method yields an image with blue mid-tones against white highlights and shadow areas. Other color variations are possible, including blue images on a white background. Prints can be made using negatives or transparencies on paper, fabric sized with starch, or other suitable materials.
